The firm has a similar history with many out of state clients. In 2002 and again in 2004, the firm was voted Greater Portlandâs Best Attorneys by those participating in a Market Surveys of America, Inc. survey.

Ainsworth, Thelin, Chamberlain & Raftice, P.A. began its journey in 1980 when Thomas Ainsworth and his wife, Kathryn Monahan Ainsworth started the firm, as Ainsworth & Ainsworth, P.A.

Paul Thelin, of Pinansky & Thelin, P.A. was a law school classmate of Tom Ainsworth and long time friend.  In 1987, they merged the two firms and became Ainsworth & Thelin, P.A.

Growing up together in Cape Elizabeth, David Chamberlain and Robert Raftice have also been long time friends. Dave joined the firm in 1988 and Bob in 1992. They both became Shareholders in 1997 and Officers in 2003. At that time the decision was made to change the name of the firm to Ainsworth, Thelin, Chamberlain & Raftice, P.A.

Jerome Gamache joined the firm as an Associate in 2000 and became a shareholder in 2004. Michael Vaillancourt joined Ainsworth, Thelin, Chamberlain & Raftice, P.A. in 2002 and John Turcotte in 2005.
